Ailments and Morning Swing

Posted on

102214_1546_TimeandSpac1.jpgThe days go by two steps forward, one step back health wise.  It was a miserable night of heartburn as the reflux returned with a vengeance.  But the swelling disappeared this morning.  I am irked with the medical people, and it seems a common complaint among my peers that docs only hear the first sentence of your recitation of maladies.

But as I sit here sipping my coffee and peering into your world, the old bod is at rest while the last wisps of sleep begin their exit.  Snook has swing music on the puck for the bird and I’ll just let it play.  I do miss my quiet mornings, though.  It will be three months before I can take everything out on the porch.

I killed my RSS reader for putting ads into the news stream.  Facebook started some real evil with that tactic.  Speaking of facebook, I have begun migrating one of my accounts over to MeWe, a similar service that doesn’t track users or use targeted ads.  It is so like facebook that you are up to speed in a very short time if you are agile on facebook.

So the a.m. goes on.  No plans for the day.

Good morning!

I don’ think MeWe works very well as a blogsite. It is more of a replacement for facebook and G+

I used to have bad acid reflux. For some reason when I stopped eating bread, cereal, and pasta for the most part, it eased up a lot. Then I started taking digestive enzymes and adding marshmallow root powder to a smoothie which I drink most days, and it has eased up to the point it is almost gone. Unless I overeat, but been watching that too. Hope you find something that helps you. Try eliminating certain foods, the things that you notice bring it on more. I don’t take any of those acid reducers as I have read they cause a lot of kidney problems over time. Also Chaga tea helps, but unless you will drink it everyday, it probably won’t.

Sorry to hear you’re still feeling off. Fred has had miserable heartburn lately as well…. must be something in the air.
I don’t think I can be bothered to leave FB as I hardly ever use it anyway.
But I agree with Boo… I’m loving it here as well.
