Happy First Bacchanal of the Year

Well, happy Pope Gregory’s New Year! Easter always falls on a Sunday now, as it should. God’s back in his heaven, and all’s right with the world.
Or so we are told. Some still see the night as a bacchanal, which must annoy dear old Gregory. He tried so hard to end the practice.
But one day a New Year will come that will not be like the New Years past. Then will be a celebration worth celebrating. And we can be sure it WON’T be on January 1st

PS: I was safe and sound in my bed by 10 PM last night. That is my idea of celebrating these days. None of that crazy drunken midnight revelry for me! Happy New Year Sir ❤

… I usually put some music on, get a soda, and set up with the dogs until the last firecracker goes off. Jenna will work herself into an epileptic frenzy if I try to turn out the lights and go to bed. Otherwise, I would stay up until 9:00.
      Happy New Year!

My pup died in 2018 so I no longer have to stay up. She was terrified of fireworks also.

The days of celebrating a New Year at midnight no longer exist in my little world. Last night, I nodded off around 9:30 p.m. and woke up at 12:20 a.m. Happy 2020!!! Life is good and so are you, my friend.

… LOL! It was a real trial staying up ’til half past midnight. A good year for you too!
